GS1 in Asia-Pacific - a platform for regional collaboration and growth

Who we are

The Asia-Pacific region is the world's powerhouse of growth, innovation, and opportunity. Home to over 60% of the global population, it's driving economic expansion, with fast-growing markets like China, India, and Southeast Asia leading the way. By 2030, Asia is expected to account for nearly half of global GDP. Investments in clean energy and eco-friendly technologies are shaping the future and trade initiatives are fostering unparalleled connectivity and collaboration.

GS1 in Asia-Pacific is a not-for-profit entity incorporated in Singapore that acts as a collaborative 'vehicle' or 'platform' for GS1 Member Organisations in Asia Pacific that agree to work together on activities such as studies, liaisons, negotiations, and joint projects that advance the interests of its members as a whole and the individual interests of the Member Organisations in their own economy.

Our purpose

We support the regional development of resilient and efficient supply chains and further the development and adoption, by governments and industries, in the broader Asia-Pacific region to:

  • Facilitate interoperability of information exchanges between trading partners, and with consumers.

  • Lift productivity of government operations and regulatory activities affecting trade and development.
